Raku

Raku - Raku was first developed in Japan in the sixteenth century where pieces were used in Zen tea ceremonies. The pieces on this page were heated to 1500 degrees then taken, while hot out into the air to let the breath of the wind create the design.

All Earth & Wheel pottery comes with a card explaining the process or use of the piece.
